Khushi rocks USA

Chitravanam.com is screening Khushi, the latest Telugu cinema that is making waves in AP, in USA with two prints at New Jersey and San Jose. And the hottest news is that in these two theatres IMC6 (San Jose) and Clearview Cinemas (New Jersey), all the shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday were sold out.

An ecstatic Vijay Sekhar Vellanki (of Chitravanam.com) told that Khushi has created new records in these two areas. The highest number of people turned out for any Telugu film over a week has been 1310 in NJ and for the film Khushi 1627 people turned up for just three days, which is a record.

And imc6's collections are unprecedented. The highest number turned out for any Telugu cinema was 1780 over a period of week (for Sakhi film). But for Khushi, more than 3000 people turned up for 3 days. For the first time in the Telugu cinema history of USA, imc6 has screen a mid night show at 12:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. Such was the terrific turnout for the film. On public demand, a screen at imc6 was installed with DTS sound system especially for the film Khushi.

Keeping the unprecedented crowds for Khushi and euphoria among the Telugu people for Khushi in mind, Jaipal Reddy of Everest theaters at Dallas would be screening 10 shows for this film this weekend. The maximum number of shows screened for any Telugu film in Dallas was just 3 in the past.
