Ambition when I am young:   I wanted to be the center of attraction all the time. I used to listen to music and dance in front of my relatives, in school, at NCC camps, etc. When people appreciated my dancing, I enjoyed it tremendously. It was in the seventies that the ambition to become on actor came to my mind. I think it was after I acted in a couple of plays and got the best actor award. So, I decided to come to Madras to learn film acting. In 1978, I finished the course and immediately I started acting in my first film.
