Despite the mixed response on the first day, Desamuduru collections have crossed expectations. Allu Arjuns career best opening was around 5.5 crores (share) for his 180 print release Bunny (2005). The trade expected that the movie to garner an opening week share of 7-8 crores with a hit talk, keeping in mind that its Puri Jagannadhs next film after his sensational Pokiri. But, the movie first week share is likely to be between 9 to 9.5 crores making it to the top 5 openings in the industry. For 7 days, the movie collected a share of 3.25 crores in the Nizam territory, while the UttharAndhra share was 77 lakhs. The opening week was terrific in Guntur as the movie collected 69.7 lakhs, 46.7 lakhs in West Godavari and over 51 lakhs in Krishna district.
