From a frail body with pretty ordinary costumes in Gangotri to a muscular body with nothing less than Diesel, Nike t-shirts in Arya, Allu Arjun has come a long way, considering this is just his second movie. Face lift or image shift, whatever might be the reason, without delving into it, he catches your attention in the arresting publicity posters of Arya saying 'feel my love' to Anuradha Mehta. Directing them for the first time is yet another debutante director Sukumar.
Producer Raju, who can easily pass of as a hero himself, is the talk of the industry today beaming with the success of his first venture Dil [Nitin, Neha] and exuding immense confidence in his second venture Arya, thanks to the huge publicity and humungous hype his movie has managed to create in the public. This week will not only put Raju's faith in his product to test but will also decide the fate of Arjun, Anu and director Sukumar. Good luck guys.
So how much has DsriP contributed to the hype of this movie? After a melodious Varsham, forgettable Yours Abhi and mass album Venki, what is it that DsriP has in store for us in this album. Why wait? Let's rock n roll.
1.
You rock my world
Allu Arjun's debut movie Gangotri surprisingly was devoid of songs
that brought out Arjun's spring like dancing skills. But with this fast
beat dance floor kinda number, DsriP sets a perfect stage for his friend
[Arjun] to sweep us off our feet by showcasing his dreamy dancing
abilities. Shaan's zesty rendition is replete with correct pronunciation
of the words written by Viswa. Premji accompanies him in this song.

Nuvvunte
DsriP, the master of melody songs, is at his enchanting best again with
this song. In spite of the orchestration being typical of DsriP at times,
this song demands [and gets] your attention thanks to its melodious tune.
Sagar, who sang the small bit version of Nuvvosthanante in Varsham, sings
this number. Though he makes an earnest attempt, there is still rawness in
his voice and his modulations leave a lot to be desired. Listen to him
sing 'prema…O…prema' and you'll know what I am trying to say.
Sirivennela's pen glides through effortlessly talking about love.
Sumagali's alaap adds to the mood of the song.

O my brotheru
Sirivennela, in this typical lyrical style educates us here about one-side
love, which leaves you wondering and realizing - Hmm! Never thought about
it that way. Ravi Varma sings this one with gusto. There's another singer
whose name is not mentioned. This one's catchy with lyrics along the lines
of Sirivennela's earlier hit songs [Botany Class from Siva, Bhadram Be
Careful from Money], but what remains to be seen is if it can become a
rage like the above ones.

Takadhimithom
Sung enthusiastically by Tippu this number has very good beats.
It's nice to see somebody other than Chandrabose write such numbers and
while at it, I must say that Surendra Krishna did a good job. But Hindi
lines sound out of place and forced [or atleast they are sung that way].
Inspite of so many plusses going for it, this number fails to create a
lasting impression. Nonetheless, try this one for its beats.

Feel my love
This is another impressive melodious number in this album. KK sings it
appreciably and Chandrabose's lyrics, though in his typical style, are
good. I particularly liked the way he penned the later part of the second
stanza which he ends with'…aa paina okkasari hrudyam antu neekokatunte
feel my love'. Just an observation, the high-pitched rendition at the end
of each stanza doesn't seem to be sung by KK.
6.
Aa ante
Though Malathi sings this number as if she is on a high, she might very
well manage to titillate the targeted audience. Ranjith can be barely
heard as he has just a line or two to croon. This one's better than many
such numbers that came out in recent times. Surprisingly, this is the only
duet song in this album. Veturi words it.
Overall, DsriP delivers melodies, fast beat songs and an out and out mass number in this album to satisfy everybody. Personally, I liked the melody numbers the most in this album. But pick your song(s) and am sure you will start humming it/them for a while. While Nuvvunte and Feel my love are sure shot chartbusters, the remaining songs might race up and down the music charts as long as the movie buzz is afloat. Nonetheless, this album has the potential to rock you [not to sleep but out of it] for some weeks to come.
